FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: chain transmission comprises chain (2) that is composed of a set of links (5) each of which is connected with the other one so that they can rotate around the axis of rotation and sprocket (3A) that can rotate around the axis of rotation and has driving means that cooperate with the links of the chain during operation. The chain transmission additionally has bearing means (10A) and (10B) for directing the chain links so that the axis of rotation at a distance form the sprocket always has a constant velocity when sprockets rotates with a constant speed. The bearing means have rotating cylindrical bearing (10B) that rotates together with sprocket (3A) to direct the chain links by cooperation with the bearing surfaces made on links (5) so that the distance between the axis of rotation and axis of rotation is variable when the bearing surface bears on the rotating cylindrical bearing (10B).
EFFECT: prolonged service life.
