SUBSTANCE: fire grate comprises beams that are provided with fire bars. The fire bars are arranged across the width of the fire grate at equal distances from the edges of adjacent beams. The ratio of the area of spaces in the fire grate to the area of the fire grate is chosen depending on the strength limit of the cast iron used for manufacturing the fire bars.
