FIELD: engineering industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the grate design of sintering trucks of agglomerating and calcinating conveyor machines, and can be used in metal mining industry, agglomeration, non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy. Upper part of the grate is flat with rounded chamfers, side surfaces are wedge-shaped and lower part is semi-cylindrical. At that, ratio of width b to height h is 0.7, radius R of semi-cylinder is 0.43·b, and radius r of rounding of chamfers of grate upper part is 0.14·b.

EFFECT: increasing air leak through agglomerated batch, improving uniform air distribution along horizontal section of agglomerated batch layer, being sintered, of extended height, decreasing amount of spill, and providing optimum value of grate fracture strength owing to optimum "clear area" of the grate.
