FIELD: medicine, pediatrics.
SUBSTANCE: it is important to detect the content of propionic and butyric acids in neonatals' venous blood due to applying gas-liquid chromatography. At concentration of any out of two acids being: propionic 0.069 mM/l and more, butyric 0.059 mM/l and more - one should diagnose omphalitis of anaerobic etiology. The innovation enables to detect the participation of anaerobes in the development of omphalitis at any stage of the survey just 1 h after material sampling.
EFFECT: higher significance of diagnostics.
