FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to gas-generating compositions, propellants, and gum powders and provides explosive modifier selected from the series of full and partial nitrates of monoatomic, diatomic, or multiatomic alcohols, nitrocellulose, nitroamines, azides, nitrobenzenes, nitroalkanes, and mixture thereof. Modifier for explosives represents (i) inorganic acid selected from group consisting of orthoboric acid, phosphorous acid, and orthophosphoric acid, (ii) organic acid selected from group consisting of 2-nitrobenzoic acid, 3-nitrobenzoic acid, 4-nitrobenzoic acid, or (iii) acid or compound of general formula (1): , wherein R = -H, -OH, -COOH, or -COONa, R₁ = -H, -OH, -COOH, -COONH₄, or -COONa, R₂ = -H, -OH, -COOH, -COONa, or , in which R₁ and R₂ are the same as above, or formula (2): , wherein R = -OH, -OK, -ONH₄, or -ONa, R₁ = ordinary bond or -CH₂CH_2-, R₂ = absent or H₂O, or 2H₂O.

EFFECT: achieved multifunctionality of modifier, which modifies thermodynamic parameters, mechanical, physical, chemical, and biochemical properties of explosives.
