FIELD: polymer production.
SUBSTANCE: etherified diphenylolpropane-formaldehyde oligomers are obtained via reaction of diphenylolpropane with paraform in organic solvent under basic catalysis conditions followed by polycondensation and then O-alkylation at 40-90°C consisting in interaction of phenol hydroxyl groups of diphenylolpropane-formaldehyde oligomer with O-alkylation agent, namely dimethyl sulfate or butyl glycidyl ether, or glycidyl ethers of higher isomeric carboxylic acids, wherein diphenylolpropane-to-O-alkylation agent weight ratio is 1:(0.5-3), and subsequent etherification in presence of acid catalyst and organic solvent followed by filtration.
EFFECT: increased stability of obtained oligomers and their compositions during long-term storage at room temperatures.
