FIELD: petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in chemical and petrochemical industries to produce lower olefins by pyrolysis of hydrocarbon stock in pipe furnaces. First of all, preliminary thermal pyrolysis of gasoline fraction is performed at 760-805°C and gasoline fraction-to-steam weight ratio 1:(0.3-0.9) during 10 to 120 h and then at 805-825°C during 12 to 240 h. Subsequent pyrolysis of ethane fraction is effected at 780-850°C and ethane fraction-to-steam weight ratio 1:(0.3-0.9).
EFFECT: prolonged operation cycle of furnace in the process of thermal pyrolysis of ethane fraction with high yields of unsaturated hydrocarbons.
