FIELD: metallurgy, alloys.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes brass of the following composition, wt.-%: copper, 60.0-64.0; aluminum, 4.0-6.0; manganese, 3.0-4.0; iron, 1.0-2.0; nickel, 3.0-4.0; titanium, 0.2-0.4; zirconium, 0.2-0.4; boron, 0.02-0.04; magnesium, 0.02-0.04; chrome, 0.6-0.8, and zinc, the balance. Proposed brass shows the enhanced strength. Invention can be used in making condenser tubes, pinions, sockets, nettings for paper-manufacturing machines and other articles.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of brass.
