FIELD: instrument industry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises setting the level meters provided with sensors at the points of the vessel at which the liquid level should be measured, cyclic alternating connection of the sensors to the measuring device, measuring parameters of all meters from bottom upward in each acquisition cycle, averaging measured values over a given time interval, and transmitting information signal. The sensors are connected with the measuring device simultaneously at four bottom or top level meters. With changing the parameters of the meters when they are submerged into or removed from the liquid, the adjacent meters are connected. The liquid level moves between second and third meters. At least three sensors are used simultaneously at each point to be controlled. The device comprises unit of level meters provided with sensors and connected with the measuring device that is connected with the information input of the level indicator. The device is additionally provided with at least three measuring devices each of which is connected with one of the units of the level meters made of a printed circuits provided with openings. The openings underlie the substrates with thermosensitive resistors (sensors). The printed circuits underlie the same two-side angles one with respect to the other inside the housing made of a thermal insulation material. The thermosensitive resistors are mounted at control points of measured levels on various printed circuits with an accuracy of ±1 mm.
