FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making, namely, to discrete level indicators, and may be used to monitor level of fuel components during fuelling, consumption and storage in rocket-and-space and other industries. A liquid level monitoring device comprises a unit of level indicators with sensitive elements, made in the form of printed circuit boards with holes, above which there are substrates with thermistors connected to a measuring device, which is connected to an information input of the level indicator, besides, sensitive elements are connected to each other into measurement circuits, outlets of the measurement circuits are connected to inlets of amplifiers, and outlets of amplifiers - with information inlets of a microcontroller with software that processes results of measurement, control and generation of interface messages, which contain numbers of sensors and their condition: in vapours, in liquid or circuit fault. At the same time adjacent sensitive elements are serially connected to each other into a measurement circuit and are placed behind each other on a printed circuit board as capable of determining the variation of the phase condition of the medium, as the threshold voltage value is achieved for the specified interval of time at the outlet of the measurement circuit. Besides, the proposed invention includes a method of operation of a discrete liquid level monitoring device.

EFFECT: increased range of level changes measurement and increased quantity of measurement points with reduction of number of pressure seal contacts and connection wires, used for measurement circuits of sensors, and also improvement of weight and dimensions characteristics of a device (system) with preservation of accuracy and efficiency of level monitoring in measurement points.
