FIELD: engineering of wireless computing devices, in particular, method for power-efficient planning of access to a communication channel.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, an access point, or main computer, includes main receiver-transmitter for receiving control information from wireless computing devices through low power channel. After control information is received in access point access of wireless computing devices to primary communication channel with the goal of data transmission is planned. A wireless computing device includes low power receiver-transmitter for receipt of information concerning planning through low power channel. On receipt of planning information, a wireless computing device activates components of its network interface with primary channel for transmission of data through primary channel.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
