FIELD: multiple-step dust collecting apparatus for vacuum cleaner.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has first and second dust collectors, covering unit and dust collecting unit. First dust collector has first casing, suction pipe and back flow preventing member. First casing defines outer contour of first dust collector and has inlet opening for air admission, and first outlet opening for air exit. Suction pipe is designed for guiding of outside air into first casing. Second dust collector is extending along periphery of first dust collector and designed for separation of fine particles of contaminant from air. Covering unit is positioned above first and second dust collectors and designed for guiding of air discharged from first dust collector to second dust collector and for discharge of air delivered from second dust collector to the outside.

EFFECT: elimination of restrictions as to design of multiple-step dust collecting apparatus, and reduced length of pipe to thereby enable an increase in sucking efficiency.
