FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, dust catching technique for separation of dust from dust laden air by centrifugal force.
SUBSTANCE: cyclone-type dust catching apparatus has casing of cyclone-type dust catcher, said casing having inner suction channel, upper cover put onto top part of casing, mud collector positioned under casing, and noise-reducing member located within casing of cyclone-type dust catcher in contact with inner surface of said casing so that dust laden air passes through suction channel and collides with noise-reducing member adapted for reducing of noise level. Noise-reducing member is provided with cylindrical part having thickness making from 0.05 to 0.15 of inner diameter of dust catcher casing. Cut portion is provided on side surface of cylindrical part of noise-reducing member for enabling passage of dust laden air through suction channel. Noise-reducing member is detachably located within casing of cyclone-type dust catcher in contact with inner surface of casing.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in reducing of noise level and creating of space sufficient for air swirling within casing of dust catcher.
