FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device contains a cyclone unit containing a primary cyclone positioned so that its longitudinal axis is vertically aligned and performing separation of relatively coarse particles of dust and contaminants from the air inhausted through the primary air inlet part and secondary cyclones each positioned so that its longitudinal axis is vertically aligned and having a secondary air inlet part communicating with the primary cyclone. The device air outlet part is designed to provide for outlet of air. Each primary cyclone performs separation of relatively fine particles of dust and contaminants from the air inhausted through the secondary air inlet part. Under the cyclone unit a dust capture unit is positioned designed for collection and accumulation of dust and contaminant particles as may have been separated from the air by the cyclone unit. Each secondary cyclone housing is designed to be represented by a convex cylinder whose maximum diametre is that measured next to the air outlet part inlet. The secondary cyclones flow-communicate with the secondary air inlet part. The air outlet part flow-communicates with the secondary cyclones. Each secondary cyclone housing may be designed as composed of at least two interconnected convex cylindrical-shaped parts, their diametres gradually increasing. The lengths of the convex cylindrical-shaped parts in the direction of their longitudinal axes may be identical or otherwise. Each secondary cyclone housing may equally be designed as composed of at least a single linear cylindrical-shaped part with an invariable diametre and at least a single convex cylindrical-shaped part with its diameters gradually varying, the linear and the convex parts interconnected.
EFFECT: reduction of the level of operational noise as produced by the device as well as of pressure loss therein.
