FIELD: well logging devices, particularly ones having modules with radial module position adjustment.
SUBSTANCE: well logging method to perform logging operations in well bore involves inserting device in well, wherein the device has the first module fastened to the second module connected thereto. The first module has controllable mounting device and downhole instrument. The first module is secured to communication device, which is communicated with ground surface. Then mounting device is activated to control the first module position with respect to certain support point or object. Downhole instrument operates in two positions with respect to support point. Standard mounting device installs downhole instrument 104A, 104B in radial direction relatively well bore 14. The radial direction is selected from concentric and substantially eccentric positions relatively well bore axis. Mounting device is controlled with the use of control means or with the use of programmed data, on-line updatable model. Mounting device provides predetermined relative direction (namely azimuth angle, inclination angle, radial shift) of module 102A, 102B and adjacent downhole instrument relatively it. Mounting device may provide repulsive force application to well bore wall to release dowhnole instrument therefrom.
EFFECT: increased operational reliability and decreased investigation time.
