FIELD: shunt reactors of high-voltage power transmission lines with solidly grounded neutral.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has controlled shunt reactor whose running windings are pairwise connected cumulatively to respective phases of power transmission line and control unit incorporating six four-quadrant quantum valve converters, each being connected in series with circuit of respective running winding of reactor; other leads of mentioned converters are interconnected and connected through common switch to grounding connection. Automatic control system of power transmission line functions to find distance to point of single-phase arcing ground fault.
EFFECT: ability of correcting capacitive current of single-phase arcing ground fault during single-phase automatic reclosure interval dispensing with arc-quenching grounding reactors and additional power resistors.
