FIELD: electrical engineering and power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and power industry. In the method for automatic compensation of transient currents of a single-phase earth fault, which consists in creating an artificial potential on the neutral, according to the invention, the total capacitance of the network phases to earth is used as a zero-sequence loop parameter. The time of occurrence of the initial and all subsequent insulation breakdowns at the fault site is determined by the rate of change of the network neutral voltage, and at the time of the ground fault, the damaged phase is determined. At each repeated breakdown of the network insulation, the instantaneous value of the voltage on the damaged phase is fixed and a control signal is generated at the input of the current source. The source at each repeated breakdown of the network insulation generates an output signal in accordance with a certain expression.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of networks with resonant neutral grounding through an arcing reactor, incl. in case of compensation derangements, increasing the reliability of power supply to consumers.
