FIELD: electric engineering, namely, transistor and thyristor transformers with metering capacitors in power circuit.
SUBSTANCE: thyristor-capacitor transformer contains thyristor bridge with metering capacitor in alternating current diagonal of thyristor bridge and constant current load, coupled serially with aforementioned thyristor bridge and thyristor current switch. Protection system is made in form of three-winding transformer, first winding of which is coupled between the power supply pole and the common anode of thyristor bridge, the second winding is coupled between cathode of one and anode of the other transistor of thyristor bridge in such a way, that average point of second winding constitutes one of contacts of diagonal of alternating current of thyristor bridge, second winding has twice greater number of coils compared to the first one, and is coupled oppositely relatively to first winding, and third winding of aforementioned transformer is connected to switch-off impulse generator, output of which is connected to control input of thyristor current switch.
EFFECT: increased speed of operation, increased reliability of system for protecting device from overloads in case of disruptions in commutation of thyristor inverter.
