FIELD: engineering of equipment for amplification of power of electric signals, possible use in power amplification acoustic systems, in automatics, measuring technologies and transformation equipment.

SUBSTANCE: control method includes addition of output currents of linear and impulse amplification channels, coupled in parallel, on common load, injecting control signal into linear channel which is equal to difference between input electric signal and part of output voltage of power amplification, output current of linear channel is measured and used for controlling impulse channel, by means of which impulses of positive or negative polarity are commutated into load with return to zero, which are filtered using an inductor. New feature in the control method is usage of electric signals of current indicator for controlling pulse width modulation with fixed frequency. Output electric signal of current of linear channel is compared to two linearly changing counter-phase voltage, which change from given value to zero. Impulse channel operates under conditions of high powers of output signals of power amplification and only provides a part of dynamic range of reproduced signals. In case of low input signals and load currents which have lesser modulus compared to given lower levels of positive and negative polarity during given time, which is greater than linearly-changing period, impulse channel is switched to third, locked state.

EFFECT: reduced level of parasitic harmonics in output power amplification voltage.
