FIELD: fish industry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has base, frame, centering device, measuring device, decapitating tool, and control system. Measuring device is formed as machine vision unit comprising light installation and device for producing photography image of fish part adjoining head region. Control system comprises graphic data processing unit and calculator. Centering device is equipped with fish trunk retaining members formed as controllable elastic pneumatic tubes. Frame is mounted for lengthwise movement and provided with carriage adapted for accommodation of decapitating tool and positioned for crosswise movement on frame. Apparatus is furnished with actuating unit connected to calculator and designed for controlling of elastic pneumatic tube, as well as displacements of frame and carriage with decapitating tool.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of apparatus owing to more precise individual adjustment of cutting means for waste-free head cutting.
