FIELD: packages, particularly boxes to transport cakes and other confectionary sensitive to impacts and compression.

SUBSTANCE: container is made as box including transparent plastic closure and tray connected to closure by means profiled lock connection. Closure has cylindrical or conical side surface. Upper lid surface is flat and has outline mating side surface. At least one annular vertical depression is made in closure so that the depression extends along upper closure surface perimeter along line of closure connection with side surface. The depression has side surface and annular bottom. Closure may have a number of local vertical depressions including side surfaces and bottoms. Depression side surface generator is shaped as closed curve extending along upper closure surface perimeter. Tray is provided with at least one annular extension from lower side thereof or with a number of local extensions so that as containers are stacked annular extension of upper container tray is inserted in annular depression of lower container closure or each extension of upper container tray passes into depression of lower container closure. Any extension is forcedly inserted in corresponding depression and abuts upon depression bottom and side closure surface in side closure surface generator direction.

EFFECT: increased stability of stacked containers.
