FIELD: hot rolling of round profiled sections and hot-rolled rolls from continuously cast bearing-grade steels.
SUBSTANCE: method involves heating blank; providing multiple passage using rolls equipped with passes; intensified cooling with water and final cooling in air. Multiple passage rolling is performed at temperature range of from 1,120-1,190 C to 900-1,000 C with reduction ratio of 1.08-1.49 per passage and with total reduction ratio of at least 23. After reaching total reduction ratio of 1.5-2.6, strips are cooled and subjected to multiple heating cycles to temperature of 1,120-1,190 C. Rolling process is terminated when final diameter (6.5-2.4 mm) of round profiled section is reached. Thereafter, round profiled section is subjected to intensified cooling with water to temperature of 530-870 C.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of round profiled sections.
