PRODUCTION METHOD OF REBAR FROM SILICON-MANGANESE STEEL Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C21D8/08

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: it is implemented heating of blanks, multipass rolling in rolls with gauges, broken tempering of moving strips by water and following self-tempering, herewith blanks are heated up to 1150-1280°C, temperature of rolling finishing is held in the range 900-1050°C, and tempering is interrupted at temperature 580-700°C. Furthermore, rolling in the last pass is implemented with elongation ratio 1.05-1.30, temperaing is started after 1-5 s after outgoing of strip from rolls and steel allows following chemical compound, wt %: 0.20-0.40 C; 0.30-0.90 Si; 0.80-1.50 Mn; the rest - Fe and admixtures.

EFFECT: upgraded quality yield of rebars.
