FIELD: rocket manufacturing, applicable in development of solid-propellant engines with a little operating time.
SUBSTANCE: the solid-propellant rocket engine has a body wound on a holder, embedded flanges of composite material and a nozzle of composite material. The rear embedded flange is made as a single part with the nozzle. The power fibers of the composite material in the mentioned single part are directed along the surface of its engagement with the power envelope of the body.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the nozzle coupling to the rear bottom due to enhanced strength of the rear embedded flange and shearing.
