FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: scanning device has laser, line-scanning prism, which perceives laser beam and scan it into horizontal beam plane, and frame scanning electro-optic unit, which converts horizontal beam plane into several vertical beam planes. Frame scanning electro-optic unit is made in form of small shaft with multiple faced prisms. Line scanning prism and shaft with multiple-faced prisms are disposed at different sides from conveyor with seeds. Shaft with multiple-faced prisms converts horizontal beam plane into row, according to number of multiple-faced prisms, of vertical beam planes, which planes cross conveyor with seeds in such a way that seeds of moving conveyor are sequent radiated by several pulses with dark time intervals, which correspond to discrete absorption of energy by seeds. Seed scan be irradiated multiple times during single-cycle treatment.
EFFECT: reduced labor input.
