FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modifying agent compositions used in production of cast iron. Proposed modifying agent comprises the following components, wt.-%: silicon, 50.0-70.0; strontium, 0.5-1.5; calcium, 0.3-0.5; rare-earth metals, 0.5-1.5; zirconium, 4.0-5.0; boron, 0.5-1.5; nickel, 4.0-5.0, and iron, the balance. Invention provides improving quality of cast iron based on enhancing its strength.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of cast iron.
