FIELD: invention refers to measuring technique and may be used for measuring of speed of linear displacement of objects along given trajectory.

SUBSTANCE: Mode is in using sensors of position installed along trajectory of movement, preliminary forming and memorizing reference functions as correlation of dependences from coordinates of position. Measuring of current values of voltage of these sensors in process of movement of object, definition of current function from time of correlation of this voltage, comparison of values of reference and current functions, definition and memorizing moments of time ti of equalityof values of current values to reference function, definition along reference values of coordinate Xi of position of object,oftheir assignment in quality of points Δti=ti-1 of registration corresponding to mentioned moments, calculation of time intervals Δti=ti-1 of passing by objectof distance ΔXi between neighboring points of registration Xi-1 andXi-1 and definition of values of average speed on interval of way ΔXi alongformula Vi=▵x1/▵t1, where ΔXi=Xi-Xi-1 andΔti -correspondingly, interval of way and interval of time between moments of registration ti and ti-1; I=1,2 , N-1; N- quantity of points of registration. At that intervals of way between neighboring points are given in definite manner.

EFFECT: minimization of sum of methodical and instrumental components of errors of measurements of speed.
