FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrical connector has several contact members. Each contact member is made in the form of two sections of which first one has split terminal contact for connecting cable conductors and second one is plug contact for contacting connection surfaces on printed-circuit board. Split terminal contacts of contact members are inserted in plastic shroud. At least bottom boundary of split terminal contact rests on plastic shroud. Plug contacts are fully enclosed in shroud in longitudinal direction. Disposed on both sections of contact member are respective contact arms, both contact arms constituting break contact. Shroud is double-module structure. Modules can be joined together. First module has split terminal contact and second one incorporates plug contact. Split terminal contact rests on terminal jumper of second module provided with slit. Plug contact is disposed within jumper slit and on second module; it is clamped by means of first module of shroud.
EFFECT: enhanced manufacturability.
