FIELD: hydrogenation-dehydrogenation catalysts.

SUBSTANCE: composite dehydrogenation catalyst contains: about 60% or more to about 95% or less aluminum oxide, about 5% or more to about 30% or less chromium oxide; about 0.1% or more to about 1% or less lithium oxide, and about 0.01% or more to about 5% or less sodium oxide. Preparation of catalyst comprises: mixing aluminum oxide and lithium compound to form first mixture; combining first mixture with chromium compound and sodium compound to form second mixture; heating second mixture at about 500°C or higher to about 900°C or lower for about 1 min or more to 400 min or less. Correspondingly composed catalyst is also described, wherein chromium oxide and sodium oxide are incorporated in matrix of aluminum oxide and lithium oxide.

EFFECT: prolonged lifetime of catalyst.
