FIELD: water supply systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for automatic draining of water from pressure lines of submersible pumps with check valves for protection against freezing, preferably in individual water supply systems. Proposed water drain valve is installed on vertical section of pressure pipe after pump in direction of water flow to prevent freezing of water. Valve contains section of pipe with valve and with drain pipe with seat closed by valve. Valve engages with stop which holds valve in open state. Valve made in form of ball manufactured of material heavier than water and lifted by rising water flow. Upper additional stop or stops of ball are provided to provide centering of ball and create possibility of valve opening at such pressure in pipe at which weight of ball sufficient for opening the valve is considerably less than force pressing ball to seat under action of water pressure. Seat is arranged in inclined plane or reaching vertical plane and it is overlapped by ball at level or higher than center of ball.

EFFECT: improved reliability of system, reduced risk of water freezing and subsequent costs of repair.
