FIELD: food industry; pearl barley that needs no boiling.

SUBSTANCE: method includes pearl barley cleaning from foreign matters, sorting in fractions according to the size (large), humidification till humidity 17.0-18.0%, softening for 15-20 minutes. Then pearl barley is treated in the "Pushka" type plant at the heating temperature 260-280°С for 2.0-2.5 minutes and excessive pressure 1.1-1.2 MPa. After that the obtained product is divided in two fractions.

EFFECT: acceleration of the production process; energy intensity decease; product yield increase and provision of its nutritive value, cost saving.
