AMMUNITION READING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC F41A9/00 F41F3/04 F41H7/02

Abstract RU 2324128 C1

FIELD: weapons and ammunition; pulse equipment.

SUBSTANCE: ammunition reading system contains signal loop for each type of ammo; impedance of the loop restricts signalling current value for signal source. The system also contains a device, which detects signalling current presence in each loop, and indication device. Signal loop is done as serial four-link resistive circuit, which contains signal source protection resistor, ammo identification resistor, potential divisor and two input diodes - protective one, whose anode is connected between identification resistor output and potential divider input, whereas cathode is connected to power supply; and offset diode, whose anode is connected to offset source, whereas cathode is connected to middle point of potential divider, which is an input of signalling current detection device. The latter is done on double comparator, 2I element and analogue switch with current limit resistor installed at input. At that, inverting input of the first comparator and non-inverting input of the second comparator are united and connected to the middle point of potential divider, whereas non-inverting input of the first comparator and inverting input of the second comparator are connected to reference voltage greater and less levels respectively, comparator outputs are connected to 2I element inputs; output of the latter is connected to control input of analogue switch, whereas the switch input is connected, on the one side to power supply via current limit resistor, and on the other side - to ouput circuit of corresponding ammo. Electrical potential of circuit defines the ammo type. Analogue switch output is connected either to indication device input, or to one of the inputs of master controller.

EFFECT: increase of ammunition reading system stability and functionality.
