FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in a method for detecting of action on secured item that is stored outdoor a part of said secured item is highlighted by (exposed to) IR radiation, an obtained image is read by photodetector array, the image of highlighted part is saved in memory, then previous and current images are compared using a DSP- processor and an alarm is generated under control of microcontroller in case of non-coincidence of these two images. A device according to an aspect of the present invention includes an IR radiator optically linked with the secured item, a photodetector array, a DSP processor, a microcontroller that carries out data exchange with said DSP processor, and on the basis of the data analysis it makes decision on generating alarm signal to be supplied to final control relay.
EFFECT: improvement of detection reliability, high stealthiness of operation.
