FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of production of antimony silicium adsorbent which includes treatment of solid trivalent antimony oxide with hydrochloric acid solution with simultaneous introduction of hydrogen peroxide, mixing with meta-silicate of alkaline metal in presence of mono-substituted sodium phosphate leading to gel formation, curing of the gel, washing with sodium chloride solution, application of sodium bicarbonate, mixing during 1.5 - 3.0 hours, drying to obtain xerogel, grinding, treatment with nitric acid, incubation during 1.5 - 3.0 hours, washing with water, drying and milling to obtain particle size 10-4-10-5 mcm.

EFFECT: invention allows obtaining efficient cation exchange adsorbent for viruses and bacteria along with reduction of consumption of reagents used in the procedure.
