FIELD: iron and steel industry.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to the iron and steel industry, in particular, to the steels, used during production of highly corrosion-resistant pipes for gas and oil pipelines. The steel contains carbonate, silicon, manganese, aluminium, calcium, chromium, copper, nickel, phosphorus, and cerium in the following ratio, % weight: carbonate 0.17 - 0.22, silicon 0.17 - 0.37, manganese 0.50 - 0.65, aluminium 0.02 - 0.05, calcium 0.0005 - 0.005, chromium < 0.25, copper < 0.25, nickel < 0.25, phosphorus < 0.015, cerium 0.002 - 0.005, iron being the remaining portion; by limiting the sulfur content which should not exceed 0.005. It increases steel resistance against local corrosion.
EFFECT: ensures high corrosion resistance of steel.
