FIELD: textiles, paper.
SUBSTANCE: sheltered heald is a homogenous elongated body, which consists of closed O-shaped terminal eyelets. One edge runs straight along the whole length of the sheltered heald. The opposite edge has misaligned rectilinear sections. The peculiarity of the sheltered heald with respect to this invention is that, openings, in the form of terminal eyelets for accommodating sheltered straps, are not located centrally, and so the two limbs bounding the openings are not of equal width. The invention allows for reduction of wastes during manufacturing of modernised sheltered heald, reduces its mass, as well. This increases weaving rate.
EFFECT: increased weaving rate due to improvement of sheltered heald.
