FIELD: heating, heliotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of heliotechnology and may be used for supplying energy to steam power plants in tropical and subtropical countries with, as well as in southern regions of Russia. The accumulator includes a water heater comprising two parallel metal sheet being air-tightly interconnected using short bars evenly distributed over the area of the sheets. The water heater is reposed on the filled-up ground along a mirror wall. The space between the sheets is connected at one end with a water pipeline, and from another side - with a steam generator. Falling solar rays, direct or reflected from the mirror wall, heat up the top sheet of the water heater to high temperatures. Furthermore, the water in the space between the sheets heats up as well and passes into steam that enters the steam boiler, wherein the steam is accumulated and wherefrom it is further delivered to a turbine that rotates a power generator rotor. The amount of steam generated in the water heater depends on the length of the latter. The longer the heater is the more steam is generated therein. In a particular embodiment, the water heater length and boiler capacity are prescribed so that to provide a sufficient amount of generated and accumulated steam for continuous operation of the power plant, independently of light and weather conditions. The invention shall provide a means for raising the water temperature before passing the water into steam.
EFFECT: solar powered steam generation.
