FIELD: medicine; traumatology; orthodepics.
SUBSTANCE: Kirschner wire is inserted in the medulla and the injured limb is fixed by an external fixation device. Then calcium is injected electrophoretically by linking the wire to the negative electrode of the electrophoresis apparatus and by placing the positive electrode on the limb in the fracture area and turning it consequently round the limb in the projection of the fracture.
EFFECT: fracture consolidation; injury reduction; lower rate of post-surgery complications; shorter recuperation period.
