FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: locking rod for treatment of long bone fractures is made of metal, hollow inside and has 2 locking screw holes in its proximal part, a guide joining thread to attach for joining at the end face of its proximal part. On its distal part, there is hydroxyapatite coating, while inside there are metal balls of diametre less than the internal diametre of the hollow rod. The metal balls in the rod cavity generate vibration in walking thereby endosteum regeneration and enlargement are intensified that enables better distal osseous locking of the rod and reduced time of fracture consolidation.

EFFECT: invention provides decreased number of incisions and injuries of soft tissues and bone in distal department.
