FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: said invention relates to mining operations, in particular, to recovery of bromine and iodine, in particular, to recovery of halogens from feedstock with low content of useful components, from sea water or oil-gas field production water. The method implies passage of current through halogen-binding polymer solution, agitation of solution, air infeed, extraction of polymer-halogen complex, decomposition of the complex and recovery of free halogen. Polymer complex may be extracted by sorption, reverse osmosis, precipitator-induced precipitation or membrane electroosmosis; then polymer-halogen complex is disintegrated by complexation or treatment with steam. The said invention permits to use feedstock with low concentration of halogen, to use a wide range of sorbing agents, to recover halogens from suspended matter contaminated media, provides for possibility of environment-friendly complete recovery of halogens, avoiding air contamination due to halogen bonding with polymer.
EFFECT: provides for possibility to use feedstock with low concentration of halogen and to recover halogens without contamination of the environment.
