FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: fluid medium power converter refers to a field of renewable sources of power, that is wind and hydro energy sources. The device comprises two kinematic tied blades, sprockets, output shaft and electric generator (a pump); it also comprises the first and the second drums interacting with each other, clutches, sprockets, blades and cables which form two closed rectangular contours at corners of which units are assembled. The cables are wound around two vertically established drums so that they are rotating in two opposite directions and are fixed rigidly with frames of the first and the second overrunning clutches, the hubs of which are connected to corresponding sprockets and rotate them in turn in mutually opposite directions. At that the blades are secured to cables on portions with parallel mutually opposite directions of movement and interact with arresters changing an orientation of the blades. Besides the blades are made in form of two vertical folded halves (flaps) with spring loaded latches on the poles ends of which pipe guides interacting with the cable are stationary fixed. Furthermore, the blades can be performed in kind of an umbrella or in kind of single vertical flat plates.
EFFECT: device provides considerable increase of power and widens the range of application.
