FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed flow power converter relates to renewable power sources, namely to converters that transform river energy or gas power into electrical power. The proposed converter comprises two pairs of parallel guiding angle-pieces between which two pairs of flat vanes reciprocate, furnished with the device designed to vary orientation and to fix position and interacting via appropriate chains, central sprockets and overrunning couplings with the central shaft and electric generator. The aforesaid device is fitted at the vane root part and comprises a sleeve rigidly coupled with the blade to rotate there about, interacting spring-loaded lower sleeve, upper sleeve with helical grooves, a rod accommodating square retainers on its ends and bearings interacting with inclined chutes arranged on aforesaid angle-pieces at equal distances from their start and end. The said rod interacts with the vane vertical slot and enters freely the vertical slot of the vane sleeve supporting the upper sleeve with helical groove to turn therein and fix the vane angular position.
EFFECT: simpler design, lower costs.
