FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding works, in particular, to the devices feeding the welding wire. The device comprises a pair of engaging gear wheels with a saddle-like circular groove set on parallel shafts arranged in the casing. The said wheels are fixed in the casing with a constant spacing on centers and axially shifted by the value depending upon the fed wire diameter. The above circular grooves have the opening angle of 0° to 120° with the difference in opening angles of the wheels should make at least 10°. The driving wheel shaft is provided with a pressure nut and a spring. The driven wheel shaft accommodates a spring or a spacer sleeve made from elastic material for the driven wheel to be fitted thereon, and an adjusting washer to vary the elastic properties of the said sleeve. The driving and driven wheels feature different angles of opening of the circular groove, while the wheels teeth have rounded off sharp edges, the teeth surface being polished.
EFFECT: continuous feed of wires of various diameters, both powder wires and a continuous cross-section wires, is ensured ruling out whatever defects on the wire surface in feeding.
