FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to grey high-phosphorous cast irons. It may be used for cast friction products with low thermal stresses and increased mechanical and operational performance. The cast iron contains the following components, % weight: carbon 2.9-3.5; silicon 1.3-2.0; manganese 0.3-0.8; phosphorous 1.0-1.5; sulphur 0.02-0.45; nitrogen 0.002-0.01; aluminium 0.002-0.01; iron being the remaining.
EFFECT: low residual thermal stresses and high mechanical and friction properties.
