FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, and namely to gray cast irons for manufacture of metallic casting equipment with improved crack resistance characteristics, thermal and operating stability. Cast iron contains the following, wt %: carbon 3.2-3.6; silicone 1.6-2.0; manganese 0.7-1.0; chrome 0.12-0.5; nickel 0.10-0.3; copper 0.10-0.8; zirconium 0.02-0.05; phosphorus 0.10-0.3; sulphur 0.02-0.12; calcium 0.002-0.02; titanium 0.06-0.15; barium 0.02-0.05; nitrogen 0.002-0.012; iron is the rest.
EFFECT: cast iron has crack resistance including 880-965 cycles, due to which thermal and operating stability of casting equipment is increased.
