FIELD: coal industry.
SUBSTANCE: thick flat-seam coal mining method by irregular areas with limited resource and weak roofing is based on chamber-and-pillar mining system and includes the preparation of the mine section in the seam roof layer by transport working 1 and ventilation working 2 and successive forming extraction chambers 5, 8 from the transport working to the ventilation working in descending sequence. The roof and skirts of the extraction chambers are fixed with steel-polymeric roof-bolting 7. Coal extraction is performed by the combined frontal cutter-loader 4 in the inter-chamber ledges 9, cuts 12 headed at the angle of 120...135 degrees to the axis of the extraction chamber 8 towards the ventilation working 2. The cut roof is fixed with the roof bolting 7. Transporting of the broken-down coal to the transporting working is performed by a self-propelling car 6. Ledges 14 will remain between cuts 12 and 13. After extraction of several cuts at the seam roof layer, the extraction chamber 8 is deepened to the seam soil with the same cutter-loader 4, and the marginal cut 16 gets removed under the respective cut 12 at the seam roof layer, i.e. under the roof bolting. The width of the seam soil layer cut 16 is narrower than that of the seam roof layer, thus forming safety berms at both sides of the cut. After extracting the cut 16 in the seam soil layer, the loader-cutter 4 is returned to the chamber soil at the seam roof layer to extract a few more cuts 18, 19 at this layer. Then, the chamber 8 is deepened again to the seam soil, and several cuts 21, 22 are removed at the seam soil layer, etc. The angle of gradient of the extraction chamber axis and the cuts to the horizon should not exceed the permissible angle for the applicable mechanic means for second working; the cut length should not exceed the length of the cutter-loader,.
EFFECT: increase in mining efficiency.
