FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cosmonautics and space engineering, namely, to spacecraft engines. Combined electrochemical rocket engine (CECRE) consists of the following consequently connected equipment: fuel pre-heating chamber, electrochemical generator (ECG), made in the form of an electrochemical reactor (ECR) based on high-temperature fuel elements which work at the rocket fuel components, with current transducer; and electric rocket engine (ERE), for example, electric arcjet engine. ERE is fed from the ECG current transducer. Fuel afterburner ("KC2") can be additionally installed between ECG and ERE.
EFFECT: enhancement of engine efficiency.
