FIELD: drilling control.
SUBSTANCE: inductive logging device placed at the lower part of the drill-rod string is run in the required layer. Multi-component measurements of the specific electric conductivity are carried out. Their results are characterised of the specific electric conductivity of the rocks in the nearwellbore zone. The results of the multi-component measurements of the specific conductivity are compared to the expected values of these measurements obtained through modelling. According to the compared results, direction of the drilling rig is adjusted.
EFFECT: possibility of keeping constant distance between the borehole and the boundary between the structures while drilling, particularly the boundary between oil and water.
