FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves putting carbon dioxide and ozone-air mixture in series in three stages into a turbulent stream of sulphide-alkaline effluents. The carbon dioxide at a volume ratio of 5-8:1 to the volume of the liquid effluent is put only at the first stage along the stream. On the following two stages, the ozone-air mixture with ozone content of not less than 25.0 g in 1 m3 of the mixture in a volume ratio of 8-10:1 to the volume of the liquid effluent.
EFFECT: method allows increasing the efficiency of the process of neutralising liquid effluents; lower discharge of carbon dioxide and lower toxicity of the gases.
