SUBSTANCE: free-piston machine consists of hull which has the cylinder box, the floating piston, the air-bleed hole made in side wall of hull, the floating covers connected with control device and made with inlet and outlet ports to change size of soaking section and form passageway for mixture feeding and deflation with changed parameters are located in the cylinder box, the floating piston is differential. The floating piston and floating covers connected with each over can be made with the possibility of antiphase sustainable piston movement and the covers connected with each other in the hull.
EFFECT: construction facilitation of the free-piston machine; efficiency upgrading of its work at high compression of gas or its mixtures, reliability and safety enhancement during exploitation, mass reduction of main parts, vibration reduction.
